Model Description
Launched in 2009, Yamaha’s WR125family were its all-new, uprated, high specced, learner-targeted off-road style bikes which superseded its DT125 family. Two models were offered: the trail style R and, as dealt with elsewhere, the ‘X’ supermoto. Both featured new Minerelli-built, liquid-cooled engine and high quality suspension, brakes, clocks and more. On the downside, they were taller and more demanding to ride, so less novice-friendly. But if you could handle them (and afford them) they’re brilliant bits of kit.
