Model Description
Original Vmax 1200 is an icon of motorcycling: a purpose-built, monster 140bhp power, V4 hot rod designed in 1985 primarily for the US market. A steady stream of ‘grey imports’ to the UK in the late ‘80s finally led to its official introduction in 1991, although initially in emasculated 100bhp form (although this was later corrected). Thanks mostly to its immense acceleration and unique style (in truth it’s not much good at cornering or, indeed, anything else) it retains a cult following today. Performance is, er, exciting, detailing good, durability on the whole good and virtually nothing else has the same presence.
