Model Description
Original, eighth-litre motocrosser was Suzuki’s particular expertise in the mid ‘70s to ‘80s winning 10 world titles in a row from the inaugural year in 1975 all of which made its customer version the bike to have. Also launched in 1975 it went to monoshock, then water-cooling and inverted forks. It was discontinued in 2007 due to falling demand for two-strokes as opposed to a new breed of four-stroke machines by which time its peak output was around 38bhp.
