Model Description
Launched in 2001 as a rival to Honda’s popular 125 Shadow V-twin, the VL is effectively a learner-legal, ‘mini’, V-twin cruiser. With a stylish, air-cooled V-twin motor, thorough styling including ‘peanut’ tanks and twin seat and classy build quality and detailing it delivered, too. While its low seat and upright riding position made it very novice-friendly as well. Unfortunately, the Honda did all of these things just as well if not better. Not a bad bike but not as popular as its main rival.
