Model Description
With the sudden emergence and swift popularity of the supersport 600 class from 1987, after the launch, first of the Kawasaki GPZ600R in 1985, which was then leapfrogged by Honda’s hugely significant first CBR600F in 1987, it was inevitable that Suzuki would join the fray with its own take on this new fully-faired, liquid-cooled, 600cc four cylinder sports category. The result, however, the GSX600F, proved a little underwhelming. Though a decent performer with 73bhp, it wasn’t enough to match the Honda while its bulbous looks weren’t popular either. It was good value and solid, though, making it a popular commuter.
