Model Description
Original big bore version of Suzuki’s budget roadster, the ‘Bandit’, was launched in 1996 and came in two guises: the half-faired ‘S’ (see elsewhere) and this ‘naked’ N. Both were based around a detuned (but still 100bhp) version of the old, proven, oil-cooled GSX-R1100 engine held in a new, tubular steel frame along with budget but decent cycle parts and pleasant looks. The result was a bargain, big bore roadster with plenty of versatility that was also crying out to be customized and modified. A cult was born.
