Model Description
One of the most popular middleweight commuters of the last 20 years the air-cooled GS took an old but proven 500cc, parallel twin engine and put it in a good-looking, steel twin spar chassis with pleasing handling and nice detailing. The result, when launched in 1989, was stylish, fun and versatile for a bargain price and its resultant popularity, not just as a ‘first big bike’ but also as a commuter and at training schools, kept it in production for nearly 20 years.
