Model Description
If the re-engineered Griso of 2005 took big Moto Guzzis into a new modern era, the V7 family did the same for small-bore Guzzis when the first V7 Classic was launched in 2008. Like the V11s which preceded it, the V7 is a whole family of classic, retro-inspired middleweight roadsters all based around an updated version of Guzzi’s ‘small-block’ 744cc V-twin and intended as rivals to similar, novice-friendly retro roadsters such as Triumph’s popular Bonneville. The Classic was the first with a white/red/black paintjob inspired by the original V7 of 1967 but many other variants followed with most updated since. With under 50bhp and a fairly basic chassis all are unintimidating yet pleasing and versatile to ride.
