Model Description
The KTM 525 EXC was the successor to the Austrian firm’s 520 family and confusingly again remains 510cc but is improved in virtually every respect with new bodywork, improved engine performance and a stronger lighter chassis with revised WP suspension. As is usual with the Austrian manufacturer a variety of versions are offered: the road-legal 525 EXC enduro, the competition enduro 525 MXC (which evolved into the 525 XC in 2005) and the 525 SX motocross version. The EXC also comes in the higher specification ‘525 EXC Six Days’ form, as designed to celebrate the International Six Days Enduro, or ISDE, with different seat, exhaust and other upgrades.
