Model Description
The updated successor to the 530 EXC enduro, the KTM 500 EXC and 500 EXC-F, had a revised engine (although, confusingly, both 530 and 500 were actually 511cc), improved performance and uprated and lighter chassis than before which included an aluminium swing arm for the first time. Available as both the road legal (with lights) EXC and the lighter, competition-aimed and wide gearbox ratio XC-W it was further updated and renamed as the EXC-F in 2017). The 500EXC was also available in higher specification ‘EXC Six Days’ form, designed to celebrate the International Six Days Enduro, or ISDE, with different seat, exhaust and other upgrades.
