Model Description
The KTM 400 EXC was an early liquid-cooled, four-stroke single powered off-roader produced mainly in EXC (road legal enduro) form, which was called the EGS in Australia, and lightweight Racing XC (for cross country) form. Also known as the LC4, which is KTM’s name for this Liquid Cooled 4-valve motor. Between 2000 and 2002 LTM also made a few motocross, SX, versions as a predecessor to the 2003 450 SX.
The EXC also comes in the higher specification ‘400 EXC Six Days’ form, as designed to celebrate the International Six Days Enduro, or ISDE, with different seat, exhaust and other upgrades.
