Model Description
The KTM 950 and 990 Adventure was the bike that launched the Austrian company into the big time. This all-new V-twin brought true off-road ability to the adventure bike category thanks to its 21-inch front wheel and long travel WP suspension combined with a punchy 97bhp V-twin. The 950 ‘S’ version (2003-2006) is even more off-road orientated with even longer travel suspension. Both were updated with an enlarged 990cc engine in 2006 while these became the 990 Adventure and renamed 990 Adventure ‘R’ in 2009, with more power and further details changes. The ‘Dakar’ replica, with engine bars, velour seat and race livery was introduced in 2011.
