Model Description
As its name suggests, the KTM 450 SMR is the Racing version of the Austrian firm’s 450cc motocrosser-derived supermoto. As such its based on the class-leading 450SX but with supermoto wheels, tyres, brakes and revised suspension and, in this ‘R’ racing specification, also dispenses road-legal lights, mirrors and so on as it is a pure competition machine. Focussed, lightweight, powerful and well equipped it’s one of the best racing supermotos of the era. Even higher specification 450 SMS was also built in 2004 only.
