Model Description
Successor to the outgoing ZRX1100R retained its predecessor’s Eddie Lawson style but was more refined and powerful. For a while popular, and fairly long-lived (it remained in production until 2007), it was powered by a detuned ZZ-R11 putting out 123bhp in a big and butch, upright retro roadster chassis. Offering bristly fun by the bucket load it became outdated by the new breed of super-naked in the late Noughties (not least Kawasaki’s own Z1000) but is now regarded as something of a modern classic.
