Model Description
In many respects the ZR-7, which was built between 1999 and 2004, was a Kawasaki Zephyr 750 – but without that bike’s retro style or charm. The ZR-7 used the same, ancient, air-cooled 738cc four-cylinder lump as the Zephyr, plus a similarly basic twin loop frame, but updated things with contemporary roadster styling and monoshock rear suspension. The result is a basic, four-cylinder roadster that makes a decent, affordable, commuter/all-rounder that’s no frills functional. As cheap transport it’s honest and reliable, but it lacks any genuine appeal.
