Model Description
Along with the other Zephyr retro roadsters, the big Kawasaki 1100 was a bike before its time, pioneering the fashion for retro, old school, ‘70s style machines long before the current fashion really took off. In truth the 1100 was the last to arrive, following 1992’s original 750 and 550cc versions two years later in 1994 – but it was still the best. All re-booted aging, air-cooled, two-valve Kawasaki four-cylinder engines by putting them in classic twin loop, ‘70s style frames but with modern suspension, brakes, instruments and switchgear. The results were 100% retro, easy to ride, pleasing, eminently customizable and pretty good value, too. It’s just a shame all were canned way before the world was truly ready for them.
