Model Description
An older-style ‘step-thu’, big-wheeled commuter scooter produced by Spanish firm Derbi in a variety of forms from 1998 to 2007, although the name was briefly revived since as a more conventional, small-wheeled, 50cc sports scooter called the Variant Sport. In original form, the Variant’s a classic, pedal-start commuter that’s simple, robust and effective and with more than a little old school charm in the same way as an old Mobylette. Don’t expect much luxury, though!
