Model Description
As is common in the lightweight classes, 50cc versions of many firms 125 machines are often produced using basically the same rolling chassis but with 50cc engines to suit 16-year-old licence regulations. This is exactly the case with Spanish firm Derbi’s GPR50. It’s a 49cc version of the screaming, two-stroke, single cylinder GPR125 produced between 2005 and 2009. It features exactly the same chassis, being a flashy, aluminium twin spar, plus racy brakes, suspension and so on, but this time with just 8.8bhp power.
