Model Description
This ‘Street sportster’ V-twin was introduced alongside Aprilia’s RSV1000 and RST1000 Futura to fit between the superbike and the sports-tourer. It’s based on the same Rotax-built V-twin but this time tuned for 118bhp and has its own purpose-built trellis frame, quality cycle parts and more subdued, mature, ‘street’ styling. A decent road performer the SL1000 Falco was largely overlooked at the time, hence its short lifespan but, thanks to its timeless looks, quality build, good performance and low used prices has become a popular used buy.
