Model Description
Aprilia’s original attempt at a big, V-twin adventure bike had a lot going for it when launched in 2003 but flaws helped consign it to failure. As a used buy today, however, the Caponord ETV1000 can still be a great value option. Based on a detuned version of the RSV Mille’s Rotax-built V-twin it had 98bhp, an aluminium twin beam frame and lots of classy features. Sadly, oversoft front forks and some electrical problems damaged its reputation and, with Aprilia by then in financial trouble, the Caponord paid the penalty.
