Model Description
Also commonly referred to as the 535 Virago, Yamaha’s middleweight V-twin cruiser has been one of its biggest success stories of the past 30 years. Introduced in 1988 its lightweight and ultra-low seat made it a doddle to ride and a hit with learners or novices who didn’t want a full-on sportster. That, allied to pleasing looks, a brilliantly willing V-twin powertrain and, despite those cruiser looks, easy and predictable handling, and Yamaha were onto a winner that stayed in production for the next 16 years. Now aging, but good ones still have appeal.
